Our Regular User Groups have provided the following information on their group’s activities.

The Romsey/Lancefield sub-branch of the Returned Service Men’s/Women’s League (RSL)

The RSL meets on the last Tuesday of each month.

The Country Women’s Association (CWA)

Romsey CWA meet at the RMI on the third Thursday of the month between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm for Craft Activities.

Cowboys & Angels Dance Academy

Cowboys and Angels Dance Academy offers dance lessons on three nights a week during each school term. The students perform at a number of competitions throughout the year.

In May the group competes at the Australian Country Dance Festival in Tamworth. For a number of years Cowboys and Angels have performed very well at this competition and have gone on to represent Australia at the “World Dance Masters” in Blackpool in the UK.

At the recent “World Dance Masters” competitions Cowboys & Angels have taken home a total of 12 World Title‚Äôs in solo, duo and group divisions.

The Romsey/Lancefield Social Club

Every Monday at Social Club we have a nice lunch and if you would like to stay we play cards and also have the choice of carpet bowls. We have afternoon tea at 2.45 pm; home made cake, tea or coffee the cost for the day is $5 which includes a 1st and 2nd prize raffle ticket. If you take advantage of our Community bus it will cost you $1 each way.

  • Coach trips the 1st Wednesday of every month we go to great and places enjoy excellent meals wherever we go, the full cost of the day is $40 per person. We also have raffles on the Coach and of course yummy lollies to munch on. Places we have visited include;
  • The Zoo
  • Tram-Boat trips to Williamstown
  • The Shrine of Rememberance
  • Botanical Gardens
  • Christmas in July

Carol’s Line Dancing

Come and get fit while having fun.
Monday mornings in the main hall;

9.30 – 10.30am – Intermediates

Blue Light Disco

The Blue Light Disco is run by the Victoria Police and all profits are directed to community groups who work with local youth. The disco is aimed at children from 7 yrs to 14 yrs.

The Blue Light Disco operates with assistance from local volunteers and is run twice each year.

Karen’s Zumba

This exercise and fitness program runs during the week.
Zumba Toning – Wednesday 9.30 am to 10.30 am & Thursday 7.30 – 8.30 pm
Zumba Gold – Thursday 9.30 am to 10.30 am.
The sessions are held in the main hall.

Romsey Garden Club

The Garden Club uses the RMI’s Supper Room during the colder, wetter months of winter when few gardens are open to visit. The club organises guest speakers to address the members. A wonderful morning tea is served at the end of the meeting.
